Marlwood School. We aim to build on the students’ experience of primary school and we expect each student to develop as a learner, both individually and as a member of the community. Our staff are committed to supporting students through this journey, challenging them and helping them to become motivated and independent learners.

Marlwood School promotes a strong sense of community. Members of our community remark on the ‘family atmosphere’ that fosters a sense of belonging, pride and confidence. We aim to inspire students to develop existing talents and to discover new ones. There is a broad range of opportunities for students to contribute to our community through the rich and varied extra-curricular programme.

Our covenant with parents/carers is to work with them, keep them well informed about their child’s progress and to involve them in the vibrant life of a forward-thinking school. Staff, students and parents work in close partnership at Marlwood and this partnership is boosted further by the opportunities for joint working and collaboration within Castle School Education Trust. Marlwood has, for over 400 years, fostered excellence in children and guided them on the journey to successful and confident adulthood.

We look forward to your child joining our school and we will do all we can to ensure your child has their own successful journey to excellence.

If you have any questions, then please do not hesitate to contact the school, I would be delighted to meet you.
